Hello y’all, BlueSlime here. As the title says, we’re putting multiplayer early to test what we can do. We think making it for android and also having at least LAN multiplayer would be good. So I’ve been trying to learn how to use Netcode For GameObjects (or NGO for short) and try to find info about using it in physics based game.

A Multiplayer mode?

Yeah, basically there are planned two multiplayer mode that works together, and I really mean together. For example if you have 1 home theater pc for your kids and 2 phone for you and your waifu, you can play together as 1 device with 2 players and 2 devices with one player. Although this still an idea at the current state, but I already planned ahead and knew this is possible to make.

Well enough of daydreaming, so basically this is our progress so far.

Hell yeah it is good. Now we just need to add some balls aaaand… yeah thats still a long way to go from here. We also already planned some minigames that we want to try to create ourself other than copycat of Crash Bash but that will be after we managed to create most of Crash Bash I think.

Also I just happens to find out that there are some people remaking Crash Bash already lol. Here’s the link of one that I think is closer to it if you want to try:

But we kinda want to make it a lil bit different.. like making whole things different :v

What will be the difference?

Well for start we aren’t going to make it 1:1 copy, but rather expanding the game. We like J-RPG game and was making these type of game before this so we will try to merge it with this. I guess the final result will more closer to a MOBA rather than J-RPG tho. Yep.. as you might guess it, we are going to put a skill button that is unique for each player in the game.. yay!!

Other than that we still trying to figure out what we want to create and by shrinking our scope both for design and art

To tell the truth I’ve been assigned to a big gig on my workplace starting this week, so the update might be slow.. hopefully it’s not that slow. Our first target now is to make the ball game and create the menu and hub then we might make the build available for playtest too.
